Here at Southside Baptist Church, we firmly believe in Jesus’ command in Acts 1:8 to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We have several ministry teams to help accomplish that commandment.
Acts 1:8 Mission Council
This council works to help fund local ministries and service projects such as FCA, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Disaster Relief Teams, etc. They also help plan international mission trips to Mexico and Romania.
Jail and Prison Ministry
This ministry reaches out to inmates in Lee County Correctional Center and Florence County Detention Center by providing them Bibles as well as conducting Bible studies and worship services for the inmates.
Girls in Action (GA’s) and Royal Ambassadors (RA’s)
These organizations allow young men and women in 1st through 6th grade to learn about national and international missions while being involved with community service projects.
Hospice
Hospice allows church members to perform service projects and show the love of Christ to terminally ill patients.
International Mission Trips
Southside Baptist Church stands alongside the Florence Baptist Association in planning annual medical mission trips to Romania. Supplies and mission trip members not only get to help medically sick Romanians but also the spiritually sick as well.
Women’s Missionary Union (WMU)
These ladies serve the community is so many ways by donating their time and monies to help support service projects local and abroad.
Counseling Ministry
Southside Baptist Church also has professional Christian counselors that they hire to help all sorts of people to cope with life’s difficult challenges.
Carolina Faith Riders
Carolina Faith Riders is a motorcycle ministry of the South Carolina Baptist Convention which is intentionally evangelistic and reaches out to the motorcyclists community with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
